We are very pleased to announce our partnership with Scott Sports for the 2016 season.
The Alpine Cols coaches will be riding on Scott Addict bikes, the flagship climber’s bike in the Scott range. The 2016 Addict is the latest development of the bike ridden by Mark Cavendish to many of his best wins with HTC-Colombia. Since then Scott have refined the aero concept in their Foil range of road bikes, while making the Addict even lighter and stiffer to suit the climbers.
The Addict will be used during mountain stages in 2016 by Orica GreenEDGE and IAM Cycling: look out for them on the Giro and at the Tour de France!
Extremely stiff and responsive, due to the oversized bottom bracket, the Addict frame weighs just 860g. There is another 360g for the forks, so by judicious choice of wheels it is easy to get a total package under 7kg, perfect for long Alpine climbs and sportives such as the Etape du Tour, the Marmotte and of course the Haute Route.
We will take delivery of the new bikes in the spring, and will do a full write-up of our impressions once we have had the chance to test them out on our favourite climbs.
