Begin your 2025 season at our Canary Islands coaching camp, 25 Jan to 1 Feb 2025
About Us
Alpine Cols is now 10 years old. During this period we have helped hundreds of men and women to become better, faster, safer cyclists, especially in the mountains: our favourite playground.
Right from the start, our motto has been: “Come as clients, leave as friends”. Alpine Cols exists above all because we love making new friends who share our passion for cycling in the mountains. We love the fact that many of our camp participants have become firm friends and continue to see each other and to cycle together, outside Alpine Cols.
We are recognised as the Granfondo/sportive coaching specialists. We were the official coaching and training partner to the Haute Route for four years 2014-2017, and have been the official partners to the Marmotte and the Tour du Mont Blanc since 2018.
We do not employ guides or unqualified “ride captains”. As well as being lovely people, all of our on-the-bike team members are formally certified cycling coaches. This is your guarantee of well-designed routes, safe riding and of course the opportunity to improve your performance.
But this isn’t just about performance. It’s your holiday too! We want you to enjoy an authentic experience and great food, so we look for quirky, boutique-style hotels, often 4*, and take pains to find the best restaurants serving local delicacies.
If you like the sound of this, we would love to present you with a raspberry-pink jersey and welcome you to the Alpine Cols community!

Coaching Camps with Alpine Cols
We make a distinction between cycling tours and coaching camps. The main objective of our coaching camps is to help you become a better, faster, safer cyclist and to perform better in sportives and Granfondos. They usually based in one single location. Cycling tours on the other hand more often go from A to B, may involve changing hotels every night, and the main objective is to enjoy beautiful scenery and iconic climbs.
Different people are looking for different things, so we have tried to be clear about what we offer. To do these things well costs money, so we are certainly not the cheapest option. If that works for you, read on! To see what happens on one of our coaching camps, watch the video Ride faster at your next Granfondo.
COACHING
We pride ourselves first and foremost on the quality of our coaching. We do not employ guides: all our staff are officially certified cycling coaches.
FOCUS
We guarantee that you will improve your current skills, learn new ones and leave the camp a faster, more skilful rider, better prepared for your target event.
RESULTS
We have helped hundreds of people to perform better in events like the Etape du Tour, the Marmotte, the Mallorca 312 or the Haute Route.
GREAT HOTELS
Our clients are past the stage of youth hostels and cheap hotels. We look for the best possible hotels that remain affordable (usually 4*).
GREAT FOOD
You certainly need to eat plenty of carbs during a training camp, but that needn’t mean piles of pasta. Expect top quality meals.
FRIENDSHIP
Last but not least: come as clients, leave as friends! We are doing this to share our passion for cycling, and we love meeting new people.
